Toy's for Tots ~ Operation Breakthrough ~ Hope House
Last year we decided to spread the proceeds from the show around to some other local children’s charities that we saw were in dire need.
As we've done for the first six years of the show we purchased truckloads of toys that we donated to the Marine Corps Toys for Tots campaign.
The rest was spent on food, diapers,
household items, and other necessities needed by Operation Breakthrough & Hope House.
We were also able to adopt a local family and help them out at Christmas time.
This year we plan on continuing donating to these worthy organizations.
Shawn Spiwak
This year we are also planning on making a donation to the children of Shawn Spiwak.
Shawn is a Kansas City Power and Light lineman who suffered serious injuries when he was
electrocuted this spring while working to restore power after the tornadoes that hit Kansas City.
Shawn is a great pin-striper and regular at cruise nights and shows around Kansas City.
He says that his injuries are no big deal, because he has so much to live for since he has two wonderful children.
